Cedar Lake Speedway has grown from humble beginnings to become one of the nation's leading short track facilities. Located in Wisconsin, this state-of-the-art 3/8-mile high-banked clay oval offers an exhilarating racing experience for both drivers and fans.
A Rich History of Growth and Expansion
The journey of
Cedar Lake Speedway began with a modest field of 12 cars and 85 spectators on a flat clay oval. Over the years, the Cook family diligently expanded and improved the raceway and its grounds, making it a premier destination for dirt track racing enthusiasts. In 2001, the track welcomed new partners Ron Bernhagen, Brad Both, and brothers Bob, Chuck, and Steve Kaufman, who have contributed significantly to its ongoing success.
Premier Racing Events and Weekly Programs
Cedar Lake Speedway hosts some of the most prestigious racing events in the country. Among these are two major dirt Late Model events: the Masters event in June and the USA Nationals in August. These events attract top-tier talent and provide thrilling races for fans.
The track also features Outlaws sprint cars brought by the World of Outlaws (WoO), the most prestigious Sprint Car Series in the country. Additionally, the Interstate Racing Association (IRA) sprint cars, known for being one of the strongest 410 racing groups in the nation, traditionally bring 35-40 cars to Cedar Lake Speedway, ensuring competitive and exciting races.

Cedar Lake Speedway offers one of the most successful weekly racing programs in the region. The program features a variety of classes including Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, and Sprint Cars. Fans can expect to witness some of the finest dirt track drivers in the Upper Midwest, with fields of over 120 entries each week.
