Enjoy an interesting, fun and informative day out for railfans! The first train departs East Troy at 10am and the last train leaves at 3 pm.  Tickets are good all day so you can ride different equipment  throughout the day, subject to availability. A limited number of specialty tickets will also be available for a rare “Behind the Scenes” trolley ride and tour of the maintenance facility and car barns. ​Bring your camera and bring your friends! Railfan activities include:
  • ETRM will operate a mix of its equipment creating the opportunity to see and photograph trains. 
  • "Behind the Scenes" ride/tour (special ticket required)​​
  • Free popcorn in the Depot
  • ​Model Train Display
  • MLES 7½ inch gauge Ride-On Trains​
  • Note Railfan Day 2024 will NOT have a swap meet.

Behind The Scene Tour

​Guests will board Twin City Rapid Transit Company's 1583 (subject to availability) at 2:05 PM at the East Troy Depot then travel to the Maintenance Facility where they tour our restoration and maintenance shops. Guests will then reboard car 1583 for a ride to our East Troy Barn for a guided tour.  The ride will end back at the East Troy Depot.  Due to scheduling,  total time is about 2 hours.Guests must have closed toe shoes and be able to climb on and off the car and walk over tracks and around equipment. ​Tickets are also good all day for regularly scheduled trains.  Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. All ticket sales are final.  Price: $30 per person
